behind the scenes and on-screen

I don’t believe in making videos. I believe in crafting them.

Great messaging is about artful communication.

I create to building bridges–to meet hearts & minds where they’re at. As a creative at heart, I have found video to be one of the most powerful (and fun!) tools of communication.

With video, you can inject life and color on just about any subject—whether you’re looking to educate, inform, entertain, or sell.

Today, there’s an audience out there for EVERYTHING.

It'’s just a matter of finding and engaging the right ones.

I’ve had the joy of creating branded video content for 6+ years.

The process includes:

  • Coming up with video concepts and ideas

  • Outlining and scripting

  • Collaboration

  • Directing shoots

  • Filming + video editing

  • Speaking on camera

Creativity is important, but it’s only half the battle!

Effective online videos need tailored strategy to capture the most important things from a viewer: time and trust.

In order to reach someone on the other side of the screen, it is crucial to keep in mind:

  • Target audience (exactly who you’re talking to)

  • Brand persona (brand tone + personality)

  • Search Engine Optimization (ensuring your content will show up in search results)

  • Tracking + incorporating analytics (making data-informed decisions to achieve goals)

….And not just getting them to come ONCE, but KEEPING them coming back for more.

I got my start in video production appearing in product videos for Zappos.com back in 2015. I spoke on camera about thousands of products in my time there. That environment helped set a solid foundation for my video career, allowing lots of creative liberties and freedom to have fun with presenting product information.

I’ve built upon the same energy and ideals in the rest of my on-camera work since then–developing a passion for strategy and messaging.

I believe it’s important to treat the person on the other side of the screen as someone you’re having coffee with, rather than someone you’re throwing a sales pitch at or giving a performance to.

Being conversational and relatable is the cornerstone in my on-camera work.
